New York High School Basketball - Catholic Central over La Salle Institute
January 3, 2023: Troy, NY 12180 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Catholic Central Crusaders (Troy, NY) and the host La Salle Institute Cadets (Troy, NY), saw Catholic Central's basketball squad overcome La Salle Institute by a tally of 72-59.
With the victory, Catholic Central improves its record to 9-0 on the campaign. The Crusaders travel to Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk (Ravena, NY) to confront the Indians in a Section 2 Colonial - Patriot challenge on Tuesday, January 10. The Indians come into the challenge with a record of 3-6.
Next up, the Cadets confront the Lansingburgh Knights (Troy, NY) in a Section 2 Colonial - Liberty challenge, on Thursday, January 5. La Salle Institute will attempt to improve on its 4-5 season record. The Knights come into the challenge with a 7-2 record after their 73-48 non-league win over Scotia-Glenville (Scotia, NY).
