Florida High School Basketball - Clearwater nips IMG Academy White

Clearwater Tornadoes (Clearwater, FL) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host IMG Academy White Ascenders (Bradenton, FL), 53-51 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Clearwater upgrades its record to 3-6 on the season. The Tornadoes travel to Brooks DeBartolo Collegiate (Tampa, FL) to play the Phoenix in a non-league bout on Wednesday, January 4. The Phoenix go into the bout with a record of 8-4. Brooks DeBartolo Collegiate won 77-47 in their recent non-league bout against Osceola (Seminole, FL)

Next up, the Ascenders play the Countryside Cougars (Clearwater, FL) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, January 4. IMG Academy White will attempt to upgrade on its 2-4 season record. The Cougars go into the bout with a 7-3 record after their 48-42 non-league win over Jesuit (Tampa, FL).
