January 3, 2023: Fort Pierre, SD 57532 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Highmore/Harrold Pirates (Highmore, SD) and the host Stanley County Buffalos (Fort Pierre, SD), saw Highmore/Harrold's basketball squad wallop Stanley County by a tally of 60-39.
With the victory, Highmore/Harrold improves its record to 4-1 on the campaign. The Pirates host Sully Buttes (Onida, SD) to confront the Chargers in a B Region 6 challenge on Thursday, January 5. The Chargers come into the challenge with a record of 0-2. Sully Buttes lost 56-47 in their recent league challenge against Lyman (Presho, SD)
Next up, the Buffalos confront the McLaughlin Mustangs (McLaughlin, SD) in a A Region 6 challenge, on Thursday, January 5. Stanley County will attempt to improve on its 1-4 season record. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a 3-4 record after their 65-40 non-league loss to White Shield (Roseglen, ND).
