Texas High School Basketball - Hooks nudges Sabine
January 3, 2023: Gladewater, TX 75647 Hooks Hornets (Hooks, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Sabine Cardinals (Gladewater, TX), 46-43 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Hooks upgrades its record to 17-4 on the season. The Hornets host Redwater (Redwater, TX) to clash with the Dragons in a 3A Region II District 14 bout on Friday, January 6. The Dragons go into the bout with a record of 9-14. Redwater won 44-39 in their recent league bout against Queen City (Queen City, TX)
Next up, the Cardinals clash with the Maud Cardinals (Maud, TX) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 6. Sabine will attempt to upgrade on its 4-15 season record. The Cardinals go into the bout with a 5-6 record after their 65-45 non-league win over Avery (Avery, TX).
