Florida High School Basketball - Tampa Bay Tech can't hold off River Ridge

January 3, 2023: New Port Richey, FL 34654

The River Ridge Royal Knights basketball team scored 59 points and restricted the visiting Tampa Bay Tech Titans to 54 in the Royal Knights non-league victory on Tuesday.

The Royal Knights now sport a 9-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Gulf for a 5A District 6 contest on Thursday, January 5. River Ridge will battle a Buccaneers team coming off a 80-57 non-league loss to Central (Brooksville, FL). The Buccaneers record now stands at 1-7.

The Titans (6-9) will now prepare for their contest against Bloomingdale (Valrico, FL). The Bulls come into the 6A District 10 contest with a 6-8 record. In their last contest, Bloomingdale edged Freedom (Tampa, FL), 56-34, in a non-league contest.
