New Mexico High School Basketball - Sandia Prep can't hold off West Las Vegas
January 3, 2023: Albuquerque, NM 87113 The West Las Vegas Dons basketball team scored 57 points and held the host Sandia Prep Sundevils to 55 in the Dons non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Dons now sport a 6-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Thoreau for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 7. West Las Vegas will battle a Hawks team coming off a 63-60 non-league win over Pine Hill (Pine Hill, NM). The Hawks record now stands at 5-6.
The Sundevils (4-6) will now prepare for their contest against Farmington (Farmington, NM). The Scorpions enter the non-league contest with a 7-5 record. In their last contest, Farmington nudged Shiprock (Shiprock, NM), 87-58, in a non-league contest.
