January 3, 2023: Blue Ridge, TX 75424 The Aubrey Chaparrals basketball team scored 38 points and restricted the host Blue Ridge Tigers to 18 in the Chaparrals non-league victory on Tuesday.
The Chaparrals now sport a 9-12 record. They put it on the line next when they host Panther Creek for a 4A Region II District 11 contest on Friday, January 6. Aubrey will battle a Panthers team coming off a 59-52 non-league win over Krum (Krum, TX). The Panthers record now stands at 13-10.
The Tigers (3-18) will now prepare for their contest against Leonard (Leonard, TX). The Tigers come into the 3A Region II District 11 contest with a 1-11 record. In their last contest, Leonard was defeated by Gunter (Gunter, TX), 40-15, in a league contest.
