January 3, 2023: Cedartown, GA 30125 Mt. Zion Eagles (Mt. Zion, GA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Cedartown Bulldogs (Cedartown, GA), 57-24 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Mt. Zion upgrades its record to 12-3 on the season. The Eagles host Bowdon (Bowdon, GA) to face the Red Devils in a A D2 Region 7B game on Thursday, January 5. The Red Devils enter the game with a record of 0-6. Bowdon lost 59-29 in their recent non-league game against Central (Carrollton, GA)
With the defeat, Cedartown moves to 0-9 on the year. The Bulldogs host Northwest Whitfield (Tunnel Hill, GA) to face the Bruins in a AAAA Region 7 game on Friday, January 6. The Bruins enter the game with a record of 5-7. Northwest Whitfield lost 37-34 in their recent non-league game against Pickens (Jasper, GA)
