Iowa High School Basketball - Center Point-Urbana fells Waverly-Shell Rock
January 3, 2023: Center Point, IA 52213 Center Point-Urbana Stormin' Pointers (Center Point, IA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Waverly-Shell Rock Go-Hawks (Waverly, IA), 41-32 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Center Point-Urbana upgrades its record to 7-3 on the season. The Stormin' Pointers host Monticello (Monticello, IA) to play the Panthers in a non-league bout on Friday, January 6. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 6-1. Monticello lost 58-50 in their recent non-league bout against Mt. Vernon (Mt. Vernon, IA)
Next up, the Go-Hawks play the Decorah-North Winneshiek Vikings (Decorah, IA) in a Northeast Iowa game, on Friday, January 6. Waverly-Shell Rock will attempt to move on its 6-2 season record. The Vikings enter the game with a 8-2 record after their 66-37 non-league win over Cascade (Cascade, IA).
