January 3, 2023: Goliad, TX 77963 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Skidmore-Tynan Bobcats (Skidmore, TX) and the host Goliad Tigers (Goliad, TX), saw Skidmore-Tynan's basketball squad hold off Goliad by a tally of 39-34.
With the victory, Skidmore-Tynan improves its record to 25-2 on the campaign. The Bobcats host Woodsboro (Woodsboro, TX) to confront the Eagles in a 2A Region IV District 31 challenge on Friday, January 6. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 5-13. Woodsboro lost 42-38 in their recent league challenge against Refugio (Refugio, TX)
Next up, the Tigers confront the George West Longhorns (George West, TX) in a 3A Region IV District 29 challenge, on Friday, January 6. Goliad will attempt to improve on its 12-10 season record.
