Texas High School Basketball - Porter knocked off by Hamshire-Fannett
January 3, 2023: Porter, TX 77365 The Hamshire-Fannett Longhorns basketball team scored 48 points and held the host Porter Spartans to 39 in the Longhorns non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Longhorns now sport a 16-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hargrave for a 4A Region III District 20 contest on Friday, January 6. Hamshire-Fannett will battle a Falcons team coming off a 61-54 non-league win over Big Sandy (Dallardsville, TX). The Falcons record now stands at 8-1.
With the defeat, Porter moves to 7-9 on the year. The Spartans travel to Dayton (Dayton, TX) to face the Broncos in a 5A Region II District 16 match on Friday, January 6. The Broncos enter the match with a record of 5-11. Dayton lost 48-29 in their recent non-league match against La Porte (La Porte, TX)
