Illinois High School Basketball - Decatur Lutheran trounces Heritage
January 3, 2023: Decatur, IL 62526 The Decatur Lutheran Lions (Decatur, IL) basketball crushed the visiting Heritage Hawks (Broadlands, IL), 44-12 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Lions (5-10) will now prepare for their test against South Fork (Kincaid, IL). The Ponies go into the non-league test with a 10-8 record. In their last test, South Fork was trounced by Greenfield/Northwestern (Greenfield, IL), 38-32, in a non-league test.
The Hawks now own a 0-12 record. They play next when they travel to Arcola for a Lincoln Prairie test on Thursday, January 5. Heritage will encounter a Purple Riders squad coming off a 47-21 non-league win over Casey-Westfield (Casey, IL). The Purple Riders record now stands at 10-4.
