The Monticello Panthers basketball team scored 66 points and held the visiting Beacon Bulldogs to 62 in the Panthers non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Panthers now sport a 5-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Minisink Valley for a Section 9 Orange County II contest on Friday, January 5. Monticello will meet a Warriors team coming off a 62-37 non-league loss to Middletown (Middletown, NY). The Warriors record now stands at 2-7.

The Bulldogs (4-6) will now prepare for their contest against Liberty (Liberty, NY). The Indians enter the non-league contest with a 2-6 record. In their last contest, Liberty nudged Sullivan West (Lake Huntington, NY), 59-47, in a non-league contest.
