Kentucky High School Basketball - Spencer County crushes Henry County
January 3, 2024: New Castle, KY 40050 Spencer County Bears (Taylorsville, KY) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Henry County Wildcats (New Castle, KY), 84-34 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Spencer County upgrades its record to 6-7 on the season. The Bears travel to Woodford County (Versailles, KY) to play the Yellowjackets in a District 30 bout on Friday, January 5. The Yellowjackets go into the bout with a record of 9-2. Woodford County lost 70-44 in their recent non-league bout against Lexington Catholic (Lexington, KY)
Next up, the Wildcats play the Grant County Braves (Dry Ridge, KY) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 5. Henry County will attempt to upgrade on its 9-6 season record. The Braves go into the bout with a 6-6 record after their 63-55 non-league loss to Walnut Hills (Cincinnati, OH).
