Minnesota High School Basketball - Hopkins overwhelms South St. Paul
January 3, 2024: South St. Paul, MN 55075 Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Hopkins Royals (Minnetonka, MN) and the host South St. Paul Packers (South St. Paul, MN), saw Hopkins's basketball squad wallop South St. Paul by a tally of 102-75.
With the victory, Hopkins improves its record to 8-2 on the campaign. The Royals travel to Benilde-St. Margaret's (St. Louis Park, MN) to play the Red Knights in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 9. The Red Knights come into the challenge with a record of 3-4.
Next up, the Packers play the Two Rivers Warriors (Mendota Heights, MN) in a AAA Section 3 challenge, on Friday, January 5. South St. Paul will attempt to improve on its 2-6 season record. The Warriors go into the test with a 4-6 record after their 84-66 non-league win over North (North St. Paul, MN).
