Nevada High School Basketball - Virginia City overwhelms Loyalton
January 3, 2024: Virginia City, NV 89440 Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Virginia City Muckers (Virginia City, NV) and the visiting Loyalton Grizzlies (Loyalton, CA), saw Virginia City's basketball squad wallop Loyalton by a count of 71-38.
With the victory, Virginia City upgrades its record to 7-3 on the campaign. The Muckers travel to Excel Christian (Sparks, NV) to play the Warriors in a 1A West challenge on Friday, January 5. The Warriors come into the challenge with a record of 3-2. Excel Christian lost 56-30 in their recent non-league challenge against Loyalton (Loyalton, CA)
Next up, the Grizzlies play the Herlong Vikings (Herlong, CA) in a Pioneer challenge, on Tuesday, January 9. Loyalton will attempt to upgrade on its 8-6 season record. The Vikings come into the challenge with a 0-5 record after their 71-21 non-league loss to Durham (Durham, CA).
