January 3, 2024: Salem, VA 24153 The Salem Spartans basketball team (Salem, VA), dropped 63-54 in Wednesday's non-league battle with the visiting Northside Vikings (Roanoke, VA)
The Vikings now possess a 9-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Fleming for a Blue Ridge battle on Friday, January 5. Northside will battle a Colonels team coming off a 77-59 league win over William Byrd (Vinton, VA). The Colonels record now stands at 6-3.
The Spartans (4-6) will now prepare for their battle against Christiansburg (Christiansburg, VA). The Blue Demons come into the River Ridge battle with a 2-8 record. In their last battle, Christiansburg dropped by Glenvar (Salem, VA), 64-55, in a non-league battle.
