California High School Basketball - Swett holds off Albany
January 3, 2024: Albany, CA 94706 Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Swett Warriors (Crockett, CA) and the host Albany Cougars (Albany, CA), saw Swett's basketball squad hold off Albany by a tally of 56-55.
With the victory, Swett improves its record to 9-3 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to De Anza (El Sobrante, CA) to confront the Dons in a Tri-County - Rock challenge on Friday, January 5. The Dons come into the challenge with a record of 3-7. De Anza won 25-21 in their recent non-league challenge against Armijo (Fairfield, CA)
Next up, the Cougars confront the Hercules Titans (Hercules, CA) in a Tri-County - Stone challenge, on Friday, January 5. Albany will attempt to improve on its 7-6 season record. The Titans come into the challenge with a 0-7 record after their 51-13 non-league loss to Alhambra (Martinez, CA).
