January 3, 2025: Daphne, AL 36526 The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the UMS-Wright Prep Bulldogs (Mobile, AL) and the host Bayside Academy Admirals (Daphne, AL), observed UMS-Wright Prep's basketball team knock off Bayside Academy by a score of 57-41.
The Bulldogs (11-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Rain (Mobile, AL). The Red Raiders come into the 5A Area 1 challenge with a 1-10 record. In their last challenge, Rain was knocked off by LeFlore (Mobile, AL), 80-31, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Admirals encounter the Elberta Warriors (Elberta, AL) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 4. Bayside Academy will attempt to improve on its 5-10 season record. The Warriors come into the challenge with a 6-10 record after their 84-44 non-league loss to Foley (Foley, AL).
