January 3, 2025: Hardin, IL 62047 The Calhoun Warriors (Hardin, IL) basketball were winner over the visiting Brown County Hornets (Mt. Sterling, IL), 70-55 in Friday's league bout.
The Warriors now possess a 7-5 record. They play next when they travel to Seymour for a non-league bout on Thursday, January 9. Calhoun will play a Indians team coming off a 69-60 non-league loss to Routt Catholic (Jacksonville, IL). The Indians record now stands at 6-7.
With the loss, Brown County falls to 8-4 on the campaign. The Hornets host Greenfield/Northwestern (Greenfield, IL) to play the Tigers in a Western Illinois Valley bout on Tuesday, January 7. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 8-3. Greenfield/Northwestern lost 41-40 in their recent non-league bout against South County (Franklin, IL)
