The Sand Creek Scorpions (Colorado Springs, CO) basketball edged the host Coronado Cougars (Colorado Springs, CO), 43-37 in Friday's non-league bout.

The Scorpions now possess a 6-2 record. They play next when they host Widefield for a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 7. Sand Creek will play a Gladiators team coming off a 65-42 non-league loss to Pine Creek (Colorado Springs, CO). The Gladiators record now stands at 4-5.
