Oregon High School Basketball - Country Christian can't hold off Salem Academy
January 3, 2025: Salem, OR 97301 Salem Academy Crusaders (Salem, OR) supporters left the game happy Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the visiting Country Christian Cougars (Molalla, OR), 72-67 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Salem Academy advances its record to 7-1 on the year. The Crusaders host Stanfield (Stanfield, OR) to face the Tigers in a non-league match on Saturday, January 4. The Tigers enter the match with a record of 8-4.
The Cougars now own a 8-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Crosshill Christian for a non-league match on Saturday, January 4. Country Christian will face a Eagles squad coming off a 67-46 non-league win over Nyssa (Nyssa, OR). The Eagles record now stands at 3-5.
