In Friday's non-league contest, the host Southwest Roughriders basketball team scored a big 56-27 triumph over the Franklin Flyers.

The Roughriders (3-5) will now prepare for their contest against Southern Valley (Oxford, NE). The Eagles go into the non-league contest with a 2-8 record. In their last contest, Southern Valley smashed Franklin (Franklin, NE), 46-32, in a non-league contest.
