The Walker Valley Mustangs basketball squad (Cleveland, TN), lost 76-65 in Friday's non-league battle with the visiting Knoxville Catholic Fighting Irish (Knoxville, TN)

With the victory, Knoxville Catholic advances its record to 11-4 on the year. The Fighting Irish travel to McCallie (Chattanooga, TN) to meet the Blue Tornado in a Division II-AA East battle on Friday, January 10. The Blue Tornado enter the battle with a record of 9-6.

The Mustangs now own a 14-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Christian Academy of Knoxville for a non-league battle on Monday, January 6. Walker Valley will meet a Warriors squad coming off a 60-50 non-league win over McMinn Central (Englewood, TN). The Warriors record now stands at 15-1.
