Illinois High School Basketball - Lutheran can't hold off Mt. Pulaski
January 3, 2025: Springfield, IL 62711 Mt. Pulaski Hilltoppers (Mt. Pulaski, IL) supporters left the game happy Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the host Lutheran Crusaders (Springfield, IL), 65-60 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Mt. Pulaski advances its record to 6-8 on the year. The Hilltoppers host Lincolnwood (Raymond, IL) to face the Lancers in a non-league match on Tuesday, January 7. The Lancers enter the match with a record of 7-8. Lincolnwood won 59-50 in their recent non-league match against Bunker Hill (Bunker Hill, IL)
The Crusaders now own a 4-12 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Cornerstone Christian for a non-league match on Saturday, January 4. Lutheran will face a Cyclones squad coming off a 62-53 non-league loss to Heyworth (Heyworth, IL). The Cyclones record now stands at 3-7.
