In Friday's league contest, the host Northern Patriots basketball team scored a good 58-50 triumph over the North Point Eagles.

The Patriots (7-1) will now prepare for their contest against St. Charles (Waldorf, MD). The go into the Southern Maryland contest with a 4-1 record. In their last contest, St. Charles was topped by Southern Maryland Christian Academy (White Plains, MD), 54-51, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Eagles battle the Pallotti Panthers (Laurel, MD) in a non-league contest, on Monday, January 6. North Point will attempt to better on its 2-7 season record. The Panthers go into the contest with a 5-8 record after their 56-55 non-league loss to Potomac School (McLean, VA).
