In Friday's non-league contest, the visiting Roosevelt Rough Riders basketball team scored a close 62-55 triumph over the Stockdale Mustangs.

The Rough Riders (10-7) will now prepare for their contest against Independence (Bakersfield, CA). The Falcons go into the non-league contest with a 10-3 record. In their last contest, Independence nipped Sierra (Tollhouse, CA), 43-42, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Mustangs confront the Frontier Titans (Bakersfield, CA) in a South Yosemite - River contest, on Thursday, January 9. Stockdale will attempt to better on its 9-7 season record.
