In Friday's non-league test, the South Lyon East Cougars (South Lyon, MI) basketball squad trounced the host Salem Rocks (Canton, MI), by a score of 67-41.

Next, the Cougars encounter the Lakeland Eagles (White Lake, MI) in a Lakes Valley test, on Tuesday, January 7. South Lyon East will attempt to improve on its 7-1 season record. The Eagles come into the test with a 5-3 record after their 47-41 non-league win over Lakeview (St. Clair Shores, MI).
