Michigan High School Basketball - Sparta overwhelms Tri County Area
January 3, 2025: Sparta, MI 49345 The Sparta Spartans basketball team scored 73 points and limited the visiting Tri County Area Vikings to 45 in the Spartans non-league triumph on Friday.
The Spartans now possess a 5-2 record. They play next when they travel to Lowell for a River Cities game on Tuesday, January 7. Sparta will confront a Red Arrows team coming off a 57-43 non-league loss to Thornapple Kellogg (Middleville, MI). The Red Arrows record now stands at 3-5.
With the loss, Tri County Area falls to 2-7 on the campaign. The Vikings travel to Potter's House Christian (Wyoming, MI) to confront the Pumas in a non-league game on Tuesday, January 7. The Pumas go into the game with a record of 2-5. Potter's House Christian lost 55-46 in their recent non-league game against Calvin Christian (Grandville, MI)
