Mississippi High School Basketball - St. Joseph holds off St. Aloysius
January 3, 2025: Greenville, MS 38701 The St. Joseph Fighting Irish basketball team scored 53 points and limited the visiting St. Aloysius Flashes to 52 in the Fighting Irish non-league triumph on Friday.
The Fighting Irish now have a 3-5 record. They play next when they host St. Joseph Catholic for a non-league game on Saturday, January 4. St. Joseph will confront a Bruins team coming off a 75-19 non-league win over Cathedral (Natchez, MS). The Bruins record now stands at 18-1.
With the loss, St. Aloysius falls to 3-4 on the campaign. The Flashes host Copiah Academy (Gallman, MS) to confront the Colonels in a MAIS 5A District 4 game on Friday, January 17. The Colonels go into the game with a record of 9-9.
