In Friday's non-league contest, the host El Capitan Gauchos basketball team scored a big 53-25 win over the Ripon Indians.

The Gauchos (1-4) will now prepare for their contest against Merced (Merced, CA). The Bears come into the contest with a 15-1 record.

In their next game, the Indians battle the Venture Academy Mustangs (Stockton, CA) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, January 7. Ripon will attempt to better on its 3-7 season record. The Mustangs come into the contest with a 3-9 record after their 86-50 non-league loss to Edison (Stockton, CA).
