Kentucky High School Basketball - Nicholas County thwarts Bryan Station
January 3, 2025: Carlisle, KY 40311 The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Nicholas County Bluejackets (Carlisle, KY) and the visiting Bryan Station Defenders (Lexington, KY), observed Nicholas County's basketball team knock off Bryan Station by a score of 74-60.
The Bluejackets (9-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Harrison County (Cynthiana, KY). The Thorobreds come into the District 38 challenge with a 7-4 record. In their last challenge, Harrison County prevailed over Mercer County (Harrodsburg, KY), 42-33, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Defenders encounter the Lafayette Generals (Lexington, KY) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 10. Bryan Station will attempt to improve on its 3-9 season record. The Generals come into the challenge with a 10-1 record after their 67-43 league win over Lexington Christian (Lexington, KY).
