The Dixon Dukes & Duchesses basketball squad (Dixon, IL), was nudged 53-48 in Friday's non-league battle with the visiting Morris Redskins (Morris, IL)

With the victory, Morris advances its record to 15-1 on the year. The Redskins travel to Kaneland (Maple Park, IL) to meet the Knights in a Interstate 8 battle on Friday, January 10. The Knights enter the battle with a record of 11-5.

The Dukes & Duchesses now own a 14-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Rock Island for a non-league battle on Monday, January 6. Dixon will meet a Rocks squad coming off a 47-43 non-league loss to Taylorville (Taylorville, IL). The Rocks record now stands at 7-9.
