Odyssey Institute Minotaur (Buckeye, AZ) boosters left the game satisfied Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the host Highland Prep West HORNETS (Avondale, AZ), 33-20 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Odyssey Institute upgrades its record to 2-6 on the year. The Minotaur travel to St. Augustine Catholic (Tucson, AZ) to face the Wolves in a non-league match on Saturday, January 4. The Wolves enter the match with a record of 7-5. St. Augustine Catholic lost 73-13 in their recent non-league match against Yuma Catholic (Yuma, AZ)

The HORNETS now sport a 0-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Payson for a non-league match on Saturday, January 4. Highland Prep West will face a Longhorns squad coming off a 42-28 non-league win over Glendale Prep Academy (Glendale, AZ). The Longhorns record now stands at 11-2.
