January 3, 2025: Walnut Grove, GA 30052 The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Walnut Grove Warriors (Walnut Grove, GA) and the visiting Jasper County Hurricanes (Monticello, GA), observed Walnut Grove's basketball team knock off Jasper County by a score of 52-36.
The Warriors (8-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Eastside (Covington, GA). The Eagles come into the AAAA Region 8 challenge with a 8-6 record. In their last challenge, Eastside prevailed over Wheeler (Marietta, GA), 46-44, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Hurricanes battle the Jackson Red Devils (Jackson, GA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 4. Jasper County will attempt to improve on its 5-7 season record. The Red Devils come into the challenge with a 3-9 record after their 62-26 non-league loss to Academy for Classical Education (Macon, GA).
