John Paul the Great Academy Guardians (Lafayette, LA) boosters left the game satisfied Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the host Mount Olive Christian (Athens, LA), 38-34 in a non-league match.

With the victory, John Paul the Great Academy upgrades its record to 1-5 on the year. The Guardians host NELA Christian Homeschool (Monroe, LA) to face the Flame in a non-league match on Friday, January 10. The Flame enter the match with a record of 6-0. NELA Christian Homeschool won 55-32 in their recent non-league match against Alexandria Homeschool Arts & Athletics (Alexandria, LA)
