With the victory, Kotzebue advances its record to 1-1 on the year. The Huskies travel to Houston (Big Lake, AK) to meet the Hawks in a non-league battle on Saturday, January 4. The Hawks enter the battle with a record of 1-2. Houston won 39-36 in their recent non-league battle against Hutchison (Fairbanks, AK)
The Wolverines now own a 0-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Chugiak for a 4A Cook Inlet battle on Monday, January 6. South Anchorage will meet a Mustangs squad coming off a 51-38 non-league loss to Juneau-Douglas (Juneau, AK). The Mustangs record now stands at 2-1.
