In Friday's non-league contest, the host Salinas Cowboys basketball team scored a close 38-35 triumph over the Los Altos Eagles.

The Cowboys (7-6) will now prepare for their contest against Everett Alvarez (Salinas, CA). The Eagles go into the PCAL - Gabilan contest with a 2-4 record. In their last contest, Everett Alvarez was tipped by Pacific Grove (Pacific Grove, CA), 56-40, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Eagles battle the Homestead Mustangs (Cupertino, CA) in a Santa Clara Valley - De Anza contest, on Saturday, January 4. Los Altos will attempt to better on its 3-9 season record. The Mustangs go into the contest with a 6-5 record after their 61-27 non-league win over Leigh (San Jose, CA).
