The Notre Dame Fighting Irish nipped the visiting Lyons Lions basketball squad by a final score of 69-63 in Friday's non-league outing.

Next, the Fighting Irish clash with the Wheatland-Chili Wildcats (Scottsville, NY) in a Section 5 Genesee 2 outing, on Saturday, January 4. Notre Dame will attempt to upgrade on its 5-2 season record. The Wildcats enter the outing with a 1-3 record after their 63-37 non-league loss to Caledonia-Mumford (Caledonia, NY).

The Lions (6-1) will now prepare for their outing against North Rose-Wolcott (Wolcott, NY). The Cougars enter the Section 5 Wayne outing with a 1-6 record. In their last outing, North Rose-Wolcott was nipped by Marion (Marion, NY), 56-37, in a non-league outing.
