January 3, 2025: Rockaway Beach, OR 97136 Neah-Kah-Nie Pirates (Rockaway Beach, OR) boosters left the game satisfied Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the visiting Portland Christian Royals (Portland, OR), 48-18 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Neah-Kah-Nie upgrades its record to 8-2 on the year. The Pirates travel to Yamhill-Carlton (Yamhill, OR) to face the Tigers in a 3A Coastal Range match on Wednesday, January 8. The Tigers enter the match with a record of 9-1. Yamhill-Carlton won 59-20 in their recent non-league match against Sheridan (Sheridan, OR)
The Royals now sport a 5-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Clatskanie for a 2A Northwest match on Tuesday, January 7. Portland Christian will face a Tigers squad coming off a 30-15 non-league win over Colton (Colton, OR). The Tigers record now stands at 6-3.
