The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Newport Central Catholic Thoroughbreds (Newport, KY) and the visiting Ryle Raiders (Union, KY), observed Newport Central Catholic's basketball team overcome Ryle by a margin of 69-61.

The Thoroughbreds (7-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Lloyd Memorial (Erlanger, KY). The Juggernauts come into the non-league challenge with a 2-7 record.
