January 3, 2025: Weston, CT 06883 Pomperaug Panthers (Southbury, CT) supporters left the game happy Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the host Weston Trojans (Weston, CT), 54-24 in a league match.
With the victory, Pomperaug advances its record to 2-2 on the year. The Panthers travel to Norwich Free Academy (Norwich, CT) to meet the Wildcats in a non-league match on Saturday, January 4. The Wildcats enter the match with a record of 2-2. Norwich Free Academy lost 37-34 in their recent non-league match against Ridgefield (Ridgefield, CT)
The Trojans now own a 1-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Wright Tech for a non-league match on Monday, January 6. Weston will meet a Warriors squad coming off a 48-45 league loss to Wolcott RVT (Torrington, CT). The Warriors record now stands at 0-2.
