Troup County Tigers (LaGrange, GA) boosters left the game satisfied Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the visiting Valley Rams (Valley, AL), 52-29 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Troup County upgrades its record to 9-2 on the year. The Tigers travel to Sandy Creek (Tyrone, GA) to face the Patriots in a AAA Region 2 match on Saturday, January 4. The Patriots enter the match with a record of 8-3. Sandy Creek won 48-36 in their recent non-league match against Greenwood (Greenwood, SC)

The Rams now sport a 4-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Beauregard for a 5A Area 7 match on Tuesday, January 7. Valley will face a Hornets squad coming off a 41-33 non-league win over LAMP (Montgomery, AL). The Hornets record now stands at 7-3.
