Mississippi High School Basketball - Simpson Academy overwhelms Leake Academy
January 3, 2025: Mendenhall, MS 39114 The Simpson Academy Cougars basketball team scored 47 points and limited the visiting Leake Academy Rebels to 20 in the Cougars league triumph on Friday.
The Cougars now possess a 13-1 record. They play next when they host East Rankin Academy for a game on Tuesday, January 7. Simpson Academy will play a Patriots team coming off a 44-29 league loss to Simpson Academy (Mendenhall, MS). The Patriots record now stands at 0-1.
With the loss, Leake Academy falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Rebels host Lamar (Meridian, MS) to play the Raiders in a game on Friday, January 10. The Raiders go into the game with a record of 9-5.
