January 3, 2025: Raleigh, NC 27609 Wakefield Wolverines (Raleigh, NC) supporters left the game satisfied Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the host Sanderson Spartans (Raleigh, NC), 60-44 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Wakefield advances its record to 8-2 on the year. The Wolverines host Franklinton (Franklinton, NC) to face the Red Rams in a non-league match on Tuesday, January 7. The Red Rams enter the match with a record of 8-1. Franklinton won 52-45 in their recent non-league match against Nash Central (Rocky Mount, NC)
The Spartans now own a 3-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Athens Drive for a non-league match on Friday, January 10.
