Arizona High School Soccer - Cactus nudges Safford
January 3, 2025: Glendale, AZ 85306 Fans at Friday's non-league battle between the Cactus Cobras (Glendale, AZ) and the visiting Safford Bulldogs (Safford, AZ), saw Cactus's soccer squad hold off Safford by a score of 2-1.
The Cobras (4-7) will now prepare for their battle against La Joya Community (Avondale, AZ). The Fighting Lobos enter the non-league battle with a 4-5 record. In their last battle, La Joya Community tipped Eastmark (Mesa, AZ), 1-0, in a non-league battle.
Next up, the Bulldogs confront the Catalina Trojans (Tucson, AZ) in a non-league battle, on Tuesday, January 7. Safford will attempt to improve on its 1-4 season record. The Trojans enter the battle with a 3-2 record after their 3-1 non-league loss to Cholla (Tucson, AZ).
