In Saturday's non-league contest, the visiting Hoover Patriots basketball team scored a big 76-44 triumph over the Redwood Rangers.

The Patriots (8-5) will now prepare for their contest against Edison (Fresno, CA). The Tigers go into the County/Metro 2 contest with a 6-7 record.

In their next game, the Rangers confront the El Diamante Miners (Visalia, CA) in a East Yosemite contest, on Wednesday, January 7. Redwood will attempt to better on its 9-8 season record. The Miners enter the outing with a 2-17 record after their 46-44 non-league loss to Central Valley Christian (Visalia, CA).
