The Richwoods Knights (Peoria, IL) basketball were winner over the visiting Moline Maroons (Moline, IL), 70-52 in Saturday's non-league challenge.

The Knights (11-2) will now prepare for their challenge against St. Laurence (Burbank, IL). The Vikings come into the non-league challenge with a 14-1 record. In their last challenge, St. Laurence prevailed over Brother Rice (Chicago, IL), 58-46, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Maroons encounter the Galesburg Silver Streaks (Galesburg, IL) in a Western Big 6 battle, on Friday, January 9. Moline will attempt to improve on its 11-4 season record. The Silver Streaks come into the challenge with a 8-7 record after their 75-63 non-league loss to Bloomington (Bloomington, IL).
