Arizona High School Basketball - Combs nips American Leadership Academy

Fans at Monday's league challenge between the Combs Coyotes (San Tan Valley, AZ) and the host American Leadership Academy Patriots (Queen Creek, AZ), saw Combs's basketball squad hold off American Leadership Academy by a tally of 78-72.

With the victory, Combs improves its record to 12-12 on the campaign. The Coyotes travel to Poston Butte (San Tan Valley, AZ) to play the Broncos in a 4A East Sky challenge on Wednesday, February 1. The Broncos come into the challenge with a record of 11-17. Poston Butte lost 71-55 in their recent league challenge against Eastmark (Mesa, AZ)

Next up, the Patriots play the Arizona College Prep Knights (Chandler, AZ) in a 4A East Sky challenge, on Wednesday, February 1. American Leadership Academy will attempt to improve on its 9-16 season record. The Knights come into the challenge with a 18-8 record after their 58-57 league win over Eastmark (Mesa, AZ).
