Minnesota High School Basketball - Bigfork holds off Mesabi East
January 30, 2023: Aurora, MN 55705 Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Bigfork Huskies (Bigfork, MN) and the host Mesabi East Giants (Aurora, MN), saw Bigfork's basketball squad hold off Mesabi East by a tally of 59-53.
With the victory, Bigfork improves its record to 6-8 on the campaign. The Huskies travel to South Ridge (Culver, MN) to confront the Panthers in a A Section 7 challenge on Tuesday, January 31. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 9-5. South Ridge lost 59-57 in their recent non-league challenge against Moose Lake/Willow River (Moose Lake, MN)
Next up, the Giants confront the Marshall Hilltoppers (Duluth, MN) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, February 3. Mesabi East will attempt to improve on its 2-14 season record. The Hilltoppers come into the challenge with a 2-13 record after their 98-69 non-league loss to Cloquet (Cloquet, MN).
